Before you start
You need an Hourquill workspace, a project you can use, and a Claude account with remote custom connectors enabled. Your workspace administrator may manage these connections.

- Get the Hourquill server URL. Open Hourquill → Integrations → AI assistants → Set up. Copy the MCP server URL shown there. Ask your workspace administrator if you cannot see this page.
- Add a remote connector. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector and enter the server URL.
- Authorize Hourquill. Follow the sign-in screen, then review the account, workspace and requested access.
- Check the available projects. Enable Hourquill in a conversation and ask Claude to list the projects you can use.
- Try starting and stopping a timer. Name the project, review any tool permission request, and confirm the saved entry in Hourquill.
A first report prompt
“Show the hours recorded in Hourquill for Cedar from Monday to Friday this week, grouped by person. State the exact dates and timezone you used.”
Review the dates, permissions, and totals before sharing the result. A chart created by Claude is its presentation of the returned data.
If it does not connect
Check connector availability, administrator policies, the exact server URL, and your Hourquill access. If needed, remove the connection and authorize it again. Keep access tokens out of conversations. Contact support with the visible error and failed step, with sensitive information removed.
